Dee Black is a Christian hip-hop artist who pursues outreach missions in the state of Florida to spread the message of Jesus to those who have not heard the word of the Lord.  Creating music that rejoices Jesus is one of the many forms of witnessing that Dee Black uses to change the lifestyle of those who have not been saved by the Holy Spirit. 

According to Pew Research Center, a study from 2022 displays how young Americans are less likely to become or even remain Christian from the ages of 30 to 34.  It’s important for Christian hip-hop artists to not only spread the teachings of the bible in their music but to also spread it through discipleship.  In an article titled: Inspiring Faith, Changing Lives, multiple artists are highlighted from how Christian hip-hop has influenced their faith and how powerful this genre of music is for reaching young people. 

Christian hip-hop artist Boy Wonda expresses his thoughts on the importance of community and the Christian faith.  “It takes a village when it comes to the Kingdom. We must take care of each other and keep the same mentality when it comes to others in the church,” said Wonda.  

Saving every soul is important when witnessing to others about who Jesus is and how he died for everyone’s sins.  In an article from crosswalk, rapper KB explains during an award acceptance speech how Christian hip-hop is more than just music but it is a movement. 

Christian hip-hop continues to make impacts that change the way people live.  Dee Black explains how his music impacted someone who had to keep his faith in secrecy.  “There was a guy who reached out to me from a country who does not accept Christianity. I would have never had the opportunity to witness or to have something like that without the music reaching across borders.  That till this day still touches me,” said Dee.

The Christian hip-hop genre continues to make an impact on the lives of those who want to live in the everyday presence of Jesus.  Christian hip-hop is such a powerful genre of music that people are becoming saved and giving their life to Jesus through gospel rap songs.  Christian rap is not only music, but it is a movement.
