Christian rap artist David Rojo introduced the Orlando community to a different way of following Jesus.  The Orlando Christian rap community is emerging, and it is important to place focus on what difference this genre of music can provide to the community.  “My music will hopefully have a very positive impact on the community.  I want to influence people to put God first in everything they do and share the depth of love that God has for us,” said David.  “I want people to be able to grow and see a different mindset from my music.”

An article titled Hip-hop rocks Christians, claims that hip-hop is an excellent tool for sharing the gospel and Christianity in general with nonbelievers.  People who enjoy hip-hop are said to be easily reached in this fashion.

Rap music with a Christian or gospel message can be utilized as a prelude to worship or as a means of reviving worship in the hears of people who are already aware of God.  An article titled So Amazing: How God Called me to Preach, Rap and Reach the Youth, states that holy hip-hop, Christian rap, and gospel rap are all effective strategies for spreading the gospel to listeners who are either uninterested in or totally unresponsive to praise and worship music.
